As the newly elected president of tcba jr, I would like to congratulate the new Board of Directors on their appointments as well as thank the past Board of Directors for setting the momentum for us to continue to build tcba jr's legacy.
For those of you who are not familiar with tcba jr, tcba jr was created and continues to exist through TCBA's constant dedication and support to the younger generation Chinese Canadians. tcba jr's objective is to further the personal and professional development of its members. The association has successfully provided a forum for new graduates as well as young professionals and entrepreneurs to further their personal and professional development over the last 15 years.
Recognizing the importance of philanthropy and helping those less fortunate, tcba jr also plans to broaden its involvement in community and charitable affairs. We are currently undergoing discussions with local charities regarding potential partnership opportunities to host fundraising events.
Our members recognize the high caliber of our events and the value of their affiliation with tcba jr and this is confirmed by a growing membership and high attendance at functions. Over the next year, tcba jr will continue to host events, including professional development seminars, as well as social and athletic events to provide opportunities for our members to enhance their business acumen, personal growth and network.
I am blessed to have a very dedicated and extremely competent Board of Directors working with me and look forward to an exciting term as tcba jr continues to expand the scope of their events and involvement in the community year. I also look forward to achieving many other milestones, including the launch of a newly designed website.
